So the saga continues . . .
I’m not sure if I want to kill myself or the cable company. . .
they’ve been here once already and swore everything was fine . . .of course it was! The young guy who was out at the house was sooo nice. He looked at the hookup to the new router and modem and swore that my son had done everything right and everything should work just fine. So he left. Why I ever let him leave my house without giving me his home address, his social security number, the name of his first born, so I could get in touch with him if the problem returned, is beyond me. As soon as he left, of course, the problem returned. Why is that? Are these workers for cable companies charlatans of the first order working their magic, staving off problems til’ they leave giving you a false sense of security allowing them egress too easily? Of course they are. It has happened too many times to me to not be their MO.
I don’t know how or why they do it. I don’t think they necessarily do it on purpose for nefarious reasons, it just seems to happens that way. But it drives me crazy! Computers drive me crazy, but you can’t live without them! Just try. I have, again. I was going through withdrawal symptoms after a few days. I just hope when the representative from the Cable company is done today the problem is solved. My son is here and I have enlisted is help, he is going to be my intermediary with the rep. so I do not have to deal with him except to get tough. He can handle the tech. talk and make sure the problem is really “solved”. Hmm. We’ll see.
He’s on his way. I hope he checks the wires outside, etc. and really solves it, or else I’m gonna cry. . .
That’s how I get tough . . .
