The USA and the World Cup

What a let down! The USA got further than ever before but couldn’t bring it home. Not even as far as a win over Ghana. What a shame.

My son was having a party with a bunch of his friends over, there was a lot of noise, cheering, yelling, believe me it was loud. Imagine a room with surround sound and 12 guys around 18-20 yrs. old cheering for their country. Wow! My ears are still ringing. . .

Anyway, they had cow bells to ring and whistles to blow when the officials did, it was a good time, until the second overtime. . .it started to look a little too late for the USA by then and everyone was getting a little desperate in their yelling. I left the room and started to work on my computer. I didn’t want to be there when the sad moment hit.

When it did, you could hear a pin drop, and all the good time spent earlier was soured by the last goal! How sad. It’s hard when you are a spectator because you can’t even blame yourself!

I wonder if they’ll remember the food that was so good earlier, or if it was all ruined by the sad loss?

Or like most things in youth, they’ll bounce right back!!
