I Love Saturdays . . .

Chick-Fil-A's signature chicken sandwich

my husband and I get up separately . . .he is an early bird, me I hate the morning, I love the solitude and and snugglieness of my warm bed, so why get up any earlier than necessary, the world will still be there when I flop downstairs for my coffee.

Anyway, after much futzing around, which I happen to be Queen at, any little thing can set be off on a tangent to some other distant part of the house to do some task, put clean clothes away, put clean towels away, pick up other clothes, start a load of laundry, I have the attention span of a gnat, and it takes me hours to get in the shower to actually really get the day started, but when I do, then I’m on a roll. Now, just a touch of makeup, a new Favorite outfit purchased at Nordstrom Rack and out to face the world feeling Fierce!!!

Many tasks and errands to do. I told my oh, so wonderful husband that he need not accompany me, but it breaks up his day, too, then he gets lunch out. Yum, a chicken sandwich at Chick Fil-A which was oh, So Good!! They have a new Spicy chicken sandwich with a choice of either American, pepper jack, or provolone cheese that is out of this world, pickles, lettuce and tomato included which gives it a little kick!

We did all our errands: returns, a few purchases, met nice people along the way and found everything we needed. My husband was looking for some cologne, which after much searching he had found in an Albertsons of all places but the last time we went there for it, the security system on the case had been redone to electronic and no one knew the password. Good system, good management. What?

So while we were on our excursion today, we went to CVS looking for something I needed, and spoke to a salesperson who suggested their other store, where they are known for their cologne and good prices, we found his, Quorum, there at 1/2 the price for the big bottle and 1/3 of the price for a little bottle. Score!

So, now we’re at home again taking a little breather. He’s doing work work on his computer and I’m typing this, then I’ll read for a while. Then we may go to the CASINO. Well, it’s been 2 weeks. . .I could use some more pocket money. No really.  I’m thinking of investing my winnings in a personal trainer to get me back in shape. After the chemo and the downtime from healing and getting better and all that from the stupid breast cancer, I just haven’t had the get-up-and-go I used to, so I need a structured path by someone to kick my ass into some kind of shape, so I can get back into yoga and working out!
