OK, I am NOT a gay basher and I DO NOT care what you do behind closed doors. I do understand that gay couples need and want the financial benefits that a straight couple get after they’ve been together for years, the rights in hospitals if one dies, or is sick to deal with the paperwork though they are not family and inherit if one dies, to do a joint tax form to save money, this I understand. But you can’t legislate ACCEPTANCE . People have to decide this for themselves. Bringing up this legislation time and time again doesn’t necessarily help with the detractors and trying to force this issue down people’s throats isn’t the way to be accepted either. I would think there must be some kind of happy medium. Must it be an actual marriage?  Call me old school, I still think I believe a marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman. Maybe we can call it a “Union”, and not have it in a church.

One judge just overruled 7 million voters. That is going over the rule of the people. He took it back to the 14th amendment, and I’m not quite sure of his convoluted logic. We will see if this holds up because it is going to the Supreme Court for sure and could influence the rest of the country. I sure hope not. I do not want other states influenced by California, as I believe California is nuts, as they just passed or are trying to make plastic shopping food bags illegal , just as one example. Bigger fish to fry!
