The Plumber, Mr. Intimidation

So he called me today, Mike, the Plumber, nice as pie, to tell me he billed me erroneously, and asked what he should do with my check. He caught me so unawares I was flabbergasted, was this the same man who had insisted I pay him then insinuate to the Home Warranty people that I hadn’t paid him? I just said OK, and have been thinking about it since and realized I should have asked him to return the check to me, which of course has been agreed upon since by friends and family. As usual, hindsight is 50/50. I did however, when asked tell him his services were not needed for the job. I did not go into specifics and didn’t get nasty, life’s too short, not worth it. He should realize some of it has to do with his attitude, I would hope, but really who cares? As long as I don’t have to deal with him ever again.

Since, I have called the office to see about the check,  it seems that Michael is the Owner, and the girl told me he shredded my check so not to worry, he’s not just a worker! Hmm! God Forbid. His poor workers,  he’s so mean, they probably would need to keep the check just to stay afloat in this economy with him scaring business away! Ha!  So, he knows I checked up on him…bastard! So, he I guess he won’t cash my check, if he ever was going to, just covering my butt.

All my aggression is coming out dealing with these people, and I know it really isn’t me, I’m a PEOPLE person, I swear. You can ask my friends, I’m really nice. It must be these damn headaches. Yeah, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it! Maybe it’s the economy and the pool of people we’re getting to pick from is thinning and some of them aren’t, really nice, only the back-stabbing, money hungry, nasty, strong survive and all that?! Just sayin’…
