I am back from my two week cruise from San Pedro, California to four Hawaiian Islands and Ensenada, MX . It was a long voyage across the lovely blue Pacific, 4 days before we reached land again. It was beautiful, a little stormier, and cooler than I thought but soothing.
We enjoyed it immensely, it was definitely relaxing, but I do not know if my husband and I are now “Cruisers” per se. There are just so many things in this world to do and so many things to see that I think we’ll leave our options open and keep doing different things for vacations right now.
There was much food to eat, too much all the time every where you could want, but I was not that impressed with the quality. I care much more about quality compared to the quantity. I am much more a gourmet than a gourmand!
There was always something to do, but we are not always joiners, sometimes I just love to lay on the beach and read a book. We did love the Casino. There was no winning on the ship, but Oh, well, fun to play none the less.
I enjoyed the shows they put on in the theaters and the bars, they were actually quite good. It was fun going out nightly to different types of shows like comedians, singers, magic acts, harmonica players, talent shows and trivia contests. My only damn complaint was that the air conditioning was on way too high that I was soooo cold I couldn’t utilize any of my little skimpy dressy dresses that I packed so many of, so I ended up buying a sweatshirt and had to dress down, use the zip up sweatshirt as a wonderful fashion statement and a wool blanket like a convalescent. It was ridiculous, and what’s worse, is since my husband doesn’t take any pictures, I don’t even have one for posterity to laugh about for the rest of my life!
