It felt so good & right to take a stand and do my civic duty. I enjoyed it except for here in Arizona it is unbelievably old fashioned. You can tell we’re still out in the Wild West. You do have to show your I.D., sign in where your name and address is, then you get a paper ballot, and are directed to take it over to a table, where there are blinders up to your shoulders to go fill it out in semi-private with a marker “by hand” to connect the arrows. I never saw such a thing.
In New Jersey we had Voting Machines, where you went into a voting booth all by yourself, pulled the curtains closed around you for privacy, you pulled levers down for your choice of candidate, and then when you were done you opened the curtain and then your votes were set. It just seemed so much more advanced. So much more current, up-to-date. Oh well, if this works, I guess it’s OK. That’s all that matters! I can’t wait to see the results tonight. My husband and I will be glued to the TV watching all the precincts come in all over the country. I have a feeling it’s going to be a LONG night, but hopefully a happy one where we’ll route out the rapscallions! I am staying up ’til the wee hours to see the very last exit poll and results because I want to see if the House and Senate power shifts! We the People will have Spoken!
My oldest son who is 21 called on my home phone & left a message to tell me he voted. When he didn’t get me there, he called my cell. He then proceeded to excitedly tell me that he had already voted then cajoled me into hurrying to the Polls! So I did, and as he insisted I call him when I was done I immediately called him and we celebrated together! He was so happy that we had both done our civic duties! He is very politically minded!
My youngest is finally old enough to vote this time around. He is excited too. I can’t wait to hear how it goes for him! My husband will do it on his way home. So we’re all very into this season as it’s just awful in our view what’s been happening to our FREEDOMS, TAXES, the ECONOMY and everything else. I am also sick of it being blamed on the last administration. After 2 years I think you have to Stand up on your own 2 feet and take ownership of what you’ve done or not done. Stop passing the buck Mr. President Obama and your psychophants!
I read all the Propositions carefully, you know they word them real tricky just to get ya to vote wrong’, so be careful, but PLEASE GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!
