Getting Your Book Out There, The New-Fashioned Way! #

Is it me, or does it seem everyone semi-famous and infamous in the news has written a book or books lately and is making their rounds on the circuit of TV and radio shows hawking said book?

I’m talking everyone. Except me…and I’m working on two…but I’m not famous, oooh, I forgot! I wonder if I’ll be able to get published as easily as they all did, NOT! Maybe I can get them to vouch for me, after all I feel as if I know them, Ha, Ha!

Ex-President George Bush 43, Glenn Beck radio & TV host, Bill O’Reilly a TV personality, Justin Bieber a young pop singer, Steven Colbert a comedian, Jon Stewart another comedian, George Soros a Hungarian-American Financier and philanthropist, Meghan McCain, daughter Of Senator John McCain, Newt Gingrich a politician, and Laura Ingraham a conservative political radio host. The list goes on and on. Is it for the money or is it for the attention. I am sure partly both. Or are people just so worked up politically, they have to get the words off their chest?! The world is at a crossroads and everyone in America is pretty worked up right now, Thank God. What I can’t believe is that they are virtually running into each other on all the different shows, what with being interviewers and interviewees. Some of them leave their own show to go to others show to talk about their book, how almost incestuous, it’s kind of comical without trying to be, you never know who you’ll see where. Business makes for strange bedfellows!

Between Oprah, The Tonight Show, Jon Stewart, Glenn Beck, NPR, CNN, Greta Van Sustern, Steven Colbert and the Bill O’Reilly show it’s amazing how often the books are being talked about. They could probably just buy one and pass it around to each other!

I heard that George Bush was on Oprah and I was aghast but I missed it, Oh darn. I wonder how Oprah was able to do an unbiased interview with a straight face considering how she’s trashed him in public for his policies. Also, Bill O’Reilly was on Jon Stewart. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall there, hmm? I’m sure I’ll catch snippets of “best of” on the other shows, remember the incestuousness of it all, yup it’s true! They all love to share “bits” and mock each other unmercifully. So the stories will continue…
