Clubs, Groups And finding the Right Fit..

As I’m looking for my “right” clique or niche I guess it will take a while and I will have to try out a lot of wrong fits along the way. I do not mean to be snarky when I describe the groups I’m trying and tell you the reasons for the wrong fit, it just is…

Yesterday as I said I met a very nice group of women and hung out for about 3-4 hours chatting and drinking coffee. But in the long run I do not see the advantage of pursuing our friendship when I see our lives are so different. I am at a different point in my life than they are and need a different thing than they do from a Club or Group.

So on I’ll go looking for the Right fit. I am assuming…uh oh, never use that word. I am hoping there are other women out there in there 30’s,  40’s & 50’s who are looking for companionship and friendship and other women to “hang out” with during the day, to do things, like hike, yoga, shop, coffee, etc. Perhaps “empty nesters” like myself looking for like souls to meet and it will be a friendship meant to be.

As I’ve said another club I joined was unfortunately comprised of much older ladies and while they were very pleasant they were already set in their ways and had their “Mah jong” and bridge groups they did not want to deviate from. They were old guard and I am looking for a little “hipper” group. We shall see.

So onward and upward, the search continues!
