Orthopedic Surgery, here I come ! #@&

Arthroscopic SLAP Tear Repair

Ow! Now don't tell me that's not gonna' hurt!

After having researched the Orthopedic specialist the hospital recommended, Dr. Matthew Hansen from the CORE Institute (Center for Orthopedic Research and Education) on the internet feeling relatively optimistic seeing that he seems to have a very nice pedigreed education, I called him and made an appointment.

This “net” thing is great. Being able to do your homework on your doctor, check his eduction, check if he takes your insurance, see how much experience he has in the field, ie. shoulder surgery, arthroscopic rotator cuff and labrum repair, shoulder replacement which seems to be what I may need, put me at ease, so I am very happy about my appointment on Wednesday and will see how it goes.

Hopefully, we’ll just have the nice doctor look, decide he knows exactly what to do, make an appointment right away we’ll do the surgery and go on with our lives and they’ll be even better than they were before!

Will keep you up to date, I’m sure THAT is how it will go!! Could be the pain meds. talking!! Ha, Ha!!

You have guts…After two knee surgeries and up to four months with of no walking, pubic high cast I don’t feel the need to undergo that punishment again…My shoulder and knee are painful but at this time I will deal with the pain. Doctor said it doesn’t matter if I do it now or crawl in, procedure will be the same and I don’t want metal rods in my body at this time.

Ah, hindsight is 20/20, now with the pain maybe I would have rethought it! Ha, ha! Not really, eventually I’ll be better than new, right, please tell me that’s so…. Good luck to you and your health! Hope you feel good as long as possible! Evie
