Listening to the Silence…

Bunny greek

Oh. how sweet!

Today as I sat down at my computer, instead of turning on the radio to talk radio chatter in the background, I sat and listened to the silence. It is very soothing and calming. It lets us center ourselves.

Something told me to look out the window, and what should I see, but a precious bunny nibbling the grass right in my backyard. The peace, happiness, and serenity that has given me is priceless. I love bunnies and always have. If I had turned on the radio the moment would have been lost, the radio goes through speakers to the outdoors and I’m sure the noise would have scared my special little rabbit away.

I sat here in my chair enjoying the serenity, the silence and the unexpected company of a lovely creature of nature. It was awesome. Was it serendipity, I don’t know…I’ll just forever remember my little interlude and remember to listen to the silence more…

  1. I find myself turning off the radio in the car lately … it’s not as peaceful as my backyard but it cuts out some of the chatter and I think better!

I used to love listening to the radio, until we moved to the country! Now, all I do is open a window! Sounds so much more peaceful!! Loved your blog! Would love it if you followed mine? Have a great weekend!!
