I wonder if it’s just me or do other people get frustrated by the need for usernames and passwords for every site they use on the internet? It drives me absolutely bonkers. As I’ve mentioned in the past, but it needs to be repeated for new readers, my memory has some blank spots so I have to keep a written list of these for a back-up as there is no way I can just depend on my memory…there are too many and my memory is too unpredictably faulty to know if it’ll work at any given moment to be counted on.
As it is, I BELIEVE I know the password until access is denied as happened last night with my on-line banking. Now I swear I used the correct password at sometime in the odyssey of getting on-line, but I was denied access, I tried to change the password and still couldn’t get in. I have no idea what I did wrong, I may have used the wrong password at first, but I know I used the correct one somewhere in there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy that the bank has security to protect me, but the process of changing the password didn’t work either. Whatever. I did it again this morning and now it worked, so I changed the password, but now I have to remember a new password. Damn!
Is it necessary to have a password for EVERY site you go to? I guess, but God, for the memory challenged like me, its really daunting!! I’m talking E-bay, just to look, etsy, News stories, if you want to comment, things like that. Surely you know what I mean, puleaaase, show some mercy people.

There have been attempts to condolidate passwords, but all have failed. Do yourself a favor and get Roboform from roboform.com. The cost is minimal and it will remember your passwords and fill them in automtcally for every websote you visit!

.Simple password is a web site that provides the web facility of remembering a single password rather than having to remember write down a different password for every site you visit. You can then use this one master password to generate a different password for every site you visit. So this is a nice simple solution to the problem of remembering so many passwords..Ask yourself what would happen if someone found out your email address and password on any given site you use.

This might be something I should check out…otherwise I’ll deal with it the old-fashioned way…write them down and check my list when I can’t remember. Thanks for the input, though! Evie
