Rick Santorum’s on FIRE!

And what the hell are the electorate thinking? Are they really listening to the nonsense this guy is spouting? His over-the-top Catholic ideology is one of the reasons I thought so many people left the church in the last 10-20 years….

Please, don’t even get me going on his male chauvinistic ideas. I just heard that he doesn’t think women should be on the front line in the military because of emotions that are involved? So he backpedaled, saying it wasn’t about women’s emotions, it was men’s emotions, about them trying to protect women, so the mission would be taking a backseat to these same issues. Perhaps Rick should shut up now as he’s only making this worse!  I didn’t know these were “issues” for the presidency. As far as I know our army is fantastic, so stand down, Rick and get a grip!

I understand he has his own opinions and perhaps he should keep them to himself? I know he first jumped into the fray because of the Obama debacle of infringing on the Church’s rights with Obama’s demand of having them cover contraception costs, but he kept plowing along and has kept blathering on and opening Pandora’s box about all women’s rights which was NOT the original issue!

Even with these social issues being championed by Santorum, for some reason, unbeknownst to me he is surging in the polls. Go figure….

I can’t figure how any but the most ridiculously conservative and religious women can even listen to him! He’s gotten a little carried away in his speeches, and when he’s on a roll he sometimes says things I think his people must wish they could take back. He has said free prenatal testing ends up in more abortions and that has to be done to cull the ranks of our society, stating that when people see something wrong with a fetus they will abort rather than give life to a handicapped baby. Perhaps this is true, but isn’t that up to the family, not Rick Santorum and the Government. This issue is a little too close to him, as he has a child with “issues”, perhaps he is the one who is “too emotional”.

Some of the media was trying to ask him his opinion on women in the workplace and he was very smooth dancing around the subject, though in his book there was plenty written but he couldn’t remember what even as he did remember his wife wrote that part. Why couldn’t he remember what his opinion is?

I really hope that with Santorum winning some of the vote perhaps no one will get the full 1144 Electoral Votes they need in Tampa in August and we can start over and do a write in vote for a new Republican Representative. I haven’t heard anything about Newt Gingrich or Ron Paul lately but I hope they help split the vote between Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney.

What do you think?

I mean, of all the GOP candidates, I do NOT get the infatuation with Santorum. Maybe people are really hankering for a return to the 1950s — or maybe even the 1850s. I love how he says that we should fear Islamic-based theocracies, but then turns around and says we need to base our laws on Jesus’ teaching. Holy crap.

The prenatal care ==> abortions comment is practically stone age.

I think the GOP needs some sort of Plan B. Clearly, there’s a huge section of voters that can’t warm up to Romney. Ugly days ahead, I fear.

  2. Rick Santorum continues for being intensely outspent by Mitt Romney and isn’t going to have nearly anything near to Romneys exceptional firm.

Well, Rick won again last night in Alabama and Mississippi…I can’t figure it out except people just don’t LOVE Romney! Rick is definitely more conservative, but I find him too over the top on social issues and Newt just wants to be a spoiler so no one gets 1144 votes and we can start over in June… it’s a mess as far as I’m concerned…just anyone but Obama! Thanks for stopping by and reading!
