Trayvon Martin VS. George Zimmerman

I fear this case is going to be a no win situation. It will also add to the racial divide that exists in this country at this current time.

As usual the President decided to weigh in before he heard all the evidence adding to the racial tension and of course Reverend Al Sharpton also decided to throw his weight behind the dead 17 yr old, African American boy, Trayvon Martin and his family, holding a rally. Believe me, I feel for them.  I can’t even imagine their pain. The family would have you believe the boy was an angel and now the truth has come out that he had been suspended for marijuana use and possession and was a big boy of 6′ 2”.

On the other side of the coin, George Zimmerman, 28, thought he was protecting his neighborhood by working for the watch group, but maybe he was a little too zealous. Then again now he says he was accosted by Trayvon and beaten about the head and that was why he shot him. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in between.

More evidence has and will come out and no one know whose side is correct, but of course we know the sides will be divided and it will get ugly as it has quickly become.

I have been reading stories online and have already seen the comments, and the lines seem to be divided racially, which seems odd as I believe Zimmerman is of mixed racial descent.

Unfortunately, the fact remains a young man is dead and another man has killed him, purportedly in self-defense. In America he is presumed to be innocent until he is proved guilty. Let’s let it go to the courts, not let it be decided in the streets and turn into dissolution, infighting and perhaps anger, riots, and more violent killing!

We must stand together as a people, not fall apart! Please do not hate, do not notice our differences, let’s forget our color for that was what everyone is saying was wrong with what happened in this situation, isn’t it? Then we would be hypocrites wouldn’t we?

  1. MY PERSONAL OUTLOOK: George Zimmermen vs Trayvon Martin
The stand-your-ground law states that a person may use deadly force in self-defense when there is reasonable belief of a threat, without an obligation to retreat first.and it clearly states that a person has no duty or other requirement to abandon a place in which he has a right to be, or to give up ground to an assailant.
(With that being said,it seems that Trayvon Martin was exercising the”Stand your ground” law by defending himself against the assailant Zimmermen, whom he was Killed by.did anyone ever stop to think about that?)
