Ramblings Of The M9nd . . . !#

Hey, after typing my last blog….I had to cut it short and get on the road, so I’m back to write some more. My husband and I decided to go to McDonald’s for our normal Saturday morning breakfast of egg mcmuffins, coffee and orange juice. This is not for any other reason than choice, color us crazy, but we love them. We had to get there before 10:30 am, because that’s their cut-off time for breakfast don’t ask me who wants burgers, chicken  mcnuggets and fries that early but that’s America, may I take your order! So off we went.

We went on our odyssey to check out a cheese shop hoping we could find a place where we could purchase mozzarella curds, but that didn’t pan out. On our way, we passed a pan handler on the road who happened to be an ex-Marine with a prosthetic leg begging for money at a red light at an under-pass. OMG! What a disgrace! What has this world come to? I don’t want to get on my soap-box, but there has to be a better way to run this world than have a man who fought for this country be homeless, pan-handling for money. It was so sad. We stopped and gave him money, but God, there must be some way this man can be taken care of! I was brought to tears.

As our President and Governor Romney discuss trillions, there are homeless out there. WTF! They are wasting millions on their election campaigns and people are starving. This is such a crazy mixed up world and we have lost our sense of priorities.

The media is all over Romney for defunding PBS and Big Bird but where is the funding for Veterans? Why don’t we hear about that? They fought for our country and our way of life, does any one remember them? Does anyone want to know if we’re funding them? Does anyone want to know if there is any trickle down theory working for them? Well, I DO, dammit!

These are just some thoughts rambling around my crazy head, but I don’t think I’m alone. Maybe we just need a voice. . . or should I say these VETS do!

What do you think, I’d like to know?
