Amanda Brown sang Adele’s “Someone Like You” with her own spin and made it her own.
It was wonderful and once again has shown why Amanda has the potential to win the whole competition. If you missed the show like me, because again, my damn DVR is acting up, and my memory is on the fritz and for some reason, I can’t remember that the show is on at 7:00 PM Mondays so I missed her stellar performance, so I had to rely on You Tube to listen to this amazing woman sing her heart out, but believe me, she is a star! Adam couldn’t be prouder and she is definitively a serious contender and a lovely woman…….not to be redundant, do YouTube Amanda Brown’s performance and listen….as I couldn’t download it because of infringement rights……she is a STAR, watch out Adele, she did you proud!
Terry McDermott sang Blake Shelton’s “Over” and I was bored, but I’m not a singing expert and as I said I had to watch the show on my computer because of my damn DVR acting up. Supposedly they, the judges loved it, but they always love him, and slaver over him so it was nothing new. I thought he was going to be the rocker and it was not a rock song as I’ve expected from him, so I didn’t get it. CeeLo said it was like a highway, WTH? Christina was nice and Adam said as for us guys with high voices you sang it great, uh okay? Blake of course said he was great, it’s his guy and blah, blah, blah, you sang it better than me, yada yada, yada. WTH does this guy even go on about….I don’t even know or understand anything he says.
Trevin Hunte sings “The Greatest Love Of All” . I’m so over him. He’s just okay for me….he hits some great notes……but in between he’s not all on, we need to be honest and the song is boring…..for me. Adam says he hopes when he dies he goes to heaven and this is it, where Trevin is, is heaven, WTF does that even mean, do these people even hear themselves there with a sparkly jacket and kids and smoke in heaven. He thinks he can sing anything. Blake says people need to beat Trevin. Christina thinks his voice is a monster beast and he can do even more. CeeLo can’t even say enough and that he practices humility and he takes himself too seriously, Treven that is. Well that’s nice and now don’t I feel really mean! I think he’s a nice kid…..I just don’t love that song as I’ve just heard it so many times, I’m so over it………..
Dez Duron sings “You Smile” by Justin Beiber. And the crowd goes nuts! CeeLo can’t believe he ever did anything but sing, but didn’t think it was one of his best! Woah! Adam said he applauds for him for not looking back. What does that mean? Blake says they hit one last week, and they are doing good. Christina said he killed it, killed it, killed it! Christina said he needs your votes, bring it home, vote for DEZ!
Cody Belew sings “Somebody To Love”. I love this song and it’s perfect for him…..the crowd goes wild! Adam says man, it’s one of his favorite songs……and it’s theatrical and says it was good! Blake says it’s good and a good vision that CeeLo has for him! Christina says he takes risks and changes it up…true that, and we gotta’ hang out after the show. CeeLo says a wonderful job and he’s really proud of him, and he is very poised and has a great sense of self…….he loves how he has leaped and grown and made it look easy! Wow!
Melanie Martinez sings “Too Close”. I always like her, but she always kind of sounds alike…..if you bought a CD of her music you might want to slit your wrists by the end and you wouldn’t know the difference between songs……..though I do like her indie sound.
Nicholas David sings “What’s Goin’ On” and it’s all kinds of mellow like we expect from him by now. He’s great at what he does. I really like him for mellow jazz….but I don’t now about $5 million…….I just don’t know! Adam says dream songs and he loves the element of what he is. Blake says he didn’t know that he’s blind…duh! Then he thanks him for what he’s given to the world! CeeLo says to vote for him!
Cassadee Pope sings “Are You Happy Now” by Michelle Branch. CeeLo says she can win and he’s not happy, ha ha! Adam opened for her at the Roxie and he didn’t like it…..they screwed him and she’s the front runner and she did a great job! Blake said she showed is great and she sang the crap out of it and thanks for being on his team! Blake is a strange guy…..WTH is he saying?! That’s it let’s see who goes home tonight…….
