I have tried to stay away from the news in Connecticut, trying to have some respect for the poor families suffering from the devastation at the hands of a mad man. Too bad he killed himself, but if there is a hell I hope he’s there, and if there is a heaven I hope the children are happy there, for this earth is not always so wonderful.
I don’t know if any one can even imagine the utter depravity and now the horrible sorrow and pain the family members must be feeling since that degenerate Adam Lanza came into those poor innocent children’s lives. I pray for them all!
I’m just worried the issue will shift to gun control and how that should become a main objective instead of mental health. There will always be bad people able to get guns, thus so many criminals with guns, that is their goal and has always been. Outlawing guns won’t control them, outlaws don’t follow laws only law-abiding citizens do so that will be who it hurts. The average Joe likes to owns guns for hunting and for protecting his home and property and is allowed under the United States Second Amendment in our American Constitution to Bear Arms.
Perhaps we should be more interested in how this young man was diagnosed and treated for whatever were his mental “issues” and think of new ways to fix the system. Perhaps that might be more our social problem today. It seems though our treatment and diagnosis for mental issues were more severe and seemed liked the dark ages while we locked down suspected “sick, psychotic” people, we did seem to shield the populace from more than our share of horrible outbreaks of psychotic “episodes”, didn’t we? Now in our oh, so enlightened peace, love and harmony society we let everybody walk among us, some people might need to be hospitalized permanently ? We are afraid to hurt anybody’s feelings, no matter how sick or damaged mentally a person may be…….we sign them up for meds., hope they’ll take them, with no guarantees, they are loose cannons, add family guns, wow, what a recipe for disaster and I guess we’re the naive ones wondering why after the fact things like Connecticut happen? A nation in a state of shock, that’s us……Wake up America! This is a national tragedy………and it’s not the first time…….what about the Aurora movie theater shooting…..there were many signs that kid needed help but he fell through the cracks…….well the cracks were so big they were faults, and what about Columbine? These people had to be giving off signs that they were seriously “off”, people have to wake-up and be aware and get them help. We have to start giving a shit what goes on around us all…obviously it affects everyone, people are crying out for help and we need to answer that charge! And we all need to help before it’s too late, forget this politically correct crap, this HR nonsense, otherwise these shootings are going to continue! We are all under a lot of stress from this political and financial mess this country is in and everybody is stretched too thin, who knows the causes but the proof is there that the occurrences for violence are on the rise.
Years ago as cruel as it sounds things were done to protect the group not the individual, the leper wore a bell to protect the colony by warning of his approach. We need to keep that in mind….as the liberal point of view has taken over we try so hard to bend over backwards for each individual that we are actually hurting the group core; the laws that protected the individual Adam cost 20 babies lives and 8 adults. Not to mention if Adam had not killed himself imagine the money that would have been spent on his court case and millions in jail costs yet the little children would still be dead, what a national tragedy! We can do better America!
