Tai Chi Among Other Things . . .

My second tai chi class is today and I’m so excited looking forward to it. I got up early, dressed warmly and I’m ready……class doing tai chi

I’m going to ask the teacher if she teaches anywhere else or knows of any other tai chi classes in the area since I so enjoyed it that I would love to practice it more than the once a week it is offered at the YMCA.

To revisit some issues in my recent blogs, to keep on my health regiment I’m also going to check out another yoga studio to see what their classes are like. Perhaps their classes will be more Zen-like than the power yoga that the hot studio offered. I also received a comment about Dahn yoga stating that one of my readers had no problems while attending for 3 months and their wife had been attending for 3 years and there were no outward overtures that were cult-like at all. So perhaps I should give them a look see, and not believe everything I read on the internet! They are franchises and it could have been one bad apple in the bunch?

As for my visit to the dermatologist, it has been a huge success already. My skin is already clear, no blemishes on the horizon or visible and it looks radiant, really….. She suggested using different moisturizers than all those expensive Revlon and Olay anti-aging brands that have a lot of additives that may clog pores and bother sensitive skin like mine. She suggested for cleansing to use CeraVe ( or Cetaphil, Neutrogena, Aveeno) moisturizing cleanser which feels really different right away when you use it. It leaves my face feeling clean and moist, not dry and tight or over greasy and I use one of those motorized brushes which she liked. As for moisturizers she suggested CeraVe ( or Neutrogena, Almay, Clinque, Physician’s Formula or Bare Essentials). For my mild middle-aged acne, which I’m slightly embarrassed to admit to, but it’s a problem many women my age have and fight every day, she gave me samples and a prescription for Aczone which has no benzoyl peroxide so it won’t discolor towels, sheets or clothing and it won’t over-dry your skin it seems to be working in mere days!  Hallelujah! If you have this problem or know someone with this problem, you might suggest a visit to the dermatologist…it’s so simple and can help immensely with self-esteem and just plain old upset! So. I’ve been using the sample, and I will fill the prescription and have bought the CeraVe happily. This is the first time I have found an answer in years.

That’s it for now…….take a step out of your box……try something new, even if it frightens you….it might be good for you! Have a great day! Grab life by the ears and kiss it!
