As flute music calms my senses

barely seen images wing their way past me

whispering their fairy-tales

dropping their pixie dust

unleashing in me my unbidden dreams

I am surrounded by beauty and happiness

in my childlike awe

my eyes are like saucers

my giggles barely held in check

as I scamper from bush to bush

trying to spy all the hidden secrets

this sanctuary has to offer

for my perusal

I realize how spectacular

Mother Nature truly is

and how I’ve always loved butterflies!
