Wow, so much to say! Jerry Springer swung in on a wire at the Finale to announce
that the four finalists will be appearing at the winners Headline Show on October 28th in Vegas at Caesar’s Palace, not just the winner. Also, the top 10 finalists will show up with Michael Grimm last year’s winner.
It was a star-studded Extravaganza, with Def Leppard, Leanne Rimes, Patti LaBelle, Stevie Wonder, Cirque De Soleil – IRIS, Jackie Evancho, Queen Latifa & Tony Bennet & some other band I’ve never heard of singing some la la la song, and another band I like but I can’t think of their name. (journalism at it’s best!)
Anywwhooo, after wading through all this fluff, down to the good stuff! We start weeding through the contestants. So, out comes Nick Cannon all serious with the results.
It’s showtime. . . . times for one contestant to leave.
Unfortunately. . . . drumroll please. It’s the kids . . . PopLyfe . . . the 13-16 year old pop music group who have to leave who were absolutely fabulous EVERY time BUT last night. Classy ’til the finish! Their act tonight with Stevie Wonder was nothing but STUPENDOUS! Too little too late! Damn!
Then commercials again!
Then iLuminate leave. I was very surprised by this! I thought this group was very different and entertaining, but all 4 finalists were really good.
Now it’s between Silhouettes and Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr. Silhouettes was a very interesting and patriotic dance group. The kids were very sweet. Landau’s story was very touching and his singing was very good so it can easily go either way.
So who will it be Silhouettes or Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr.? It’s anybody’s guess at this point. My husband and I are guessing. He says Landau at the same time as I say I hope it’s Landau. His story was sad, he was homeless at 19 he currently works at a car-wash and could use a break! He seems like such a genuinely nice gentleman, very unassuming. And it is, LANDAU wins!
I start crying! Really! I’m so happy! All the little girls start hugging him! It looks so cute, he’s surrounded by about 40 little people, all hugging him! They are all happy and smiling for him! It’s so touching! The kids from POPLYFE come running out & hug him too! My God, it’s the most heartwarming thing I’ve seen in so long! All the little girls are smiling and happy, catching the confetti! I’m laughing & crying! The world is good!
