21 Hours of Principle

When Senator Ted Cruz (R) decided to speak on the floor for 21 hours about the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare whichever name you’d like to give this abomination of a 2,700 page bill that the majority of THE PEOPLE of America do not want I think it was a brave thing!

I believe this is what we voted our representatives to do….stand up for us, the constituents, our beliefs and fight for us!

This Bill was passed in the dark of night and though the Democrats would like to say that it is “The Law” and it is what the people want I do not think it is so. There is something inherently wrong with the thinking that you must pass something to know what’s in it, isn’t that a little ass-backwards?

If this Health Care Bill is so good why are the Government workers themselves exempt from it? We elected these Congressmen and women and Senators to work for us, why isn’t what’s good enough for us good enough for them?

Now the vote is being sent back and forth between the houses, and no one will give in, what are we the people to do? The deadline of October 1st is drawing nearer every day and people are confused, perplexed and plain scared, not knowing what will happen with their health care…….it’s a terrible thing. The Dems are touting this bill saying it will be a better thing for everybody concerned because they know better, though they can’t back it up when the numbers don’t realistically show that. Many companies are dropping out of providing healthcare to their workers. People are being downsized from their jobs, others are having their hours to part-time so the company doesn’t have to provide healthcare. It’s inevitable the Government will probably shut down. I say “Let it burn”. Until our rights, “The People’s” are protected, the government shouldn’t be able to hold us hostage though that is exactly what they’re doing……

What do you think?
